Carlisle Road Runners Club

The Carlisle Road Runners are looking for some fresh faces to help keep the club going through 2010. ARC would love to see the club not just survive, but thrive! The club has a history of putting on well-attended races but has stalled a bit in the last few years. Those races include the Summerfair 10K (a free race!) and the Minnich Half Marathon. If you would like to see these race continue and grow, or wuuld just like to meet up with other runners on a regular basis please contact Jim at 249.7591. There will be an informational meeting this Sunday, the 14th, at 2pm if interested.

Chambersburg Half

This Saturday is the Chambersburg Half Marathon. It's a well-run race that atrracts a great crowd early in the year. The course is accurate, plenty of aid stations, and a hearty crowd of onlookers for extra support. Many people expect the course to be flat but it has numerous hills. It is not a brutally hilly course, but expect to encounter some hills throughout the race. It is a very fair course but maybe not your PR course. If you are looking for a way to get out and challenge yourself early in the year this might be your race!

Sneaky Speed March

After a month of hills we'll venture into the flats and work on a strong finishing kick. We'll still cover 4-6 miles total but the emphasis will be on the final push to the finish line. If we get really good at it we'll work on a finish line dance too!

See you Wednesdays at 6pm!
